## Overview
The new basic system for the staff of the Prison Administration and Reintegration has been published in the Official Gazette No. 7372 of January 23, 2025. The new system includes a range of significant and advanced gains in terms of incentives, recognition of the specificity of this body, and the development of mechanisms for managing staff affairs.

## New Gains
- Revising the naming and hierarchy of the ranks and grades of the Prison Administration staff.
- Comprehensive review of the compensation system and the introduction of a new compensation for special responsibilities.
- Revising the promotion system by establishing criteria of merit, performance, and professional value, with a focus on regulating the hierarchy and ranks of this special body.
- Opening the possibility of integrating staff from common frameworks between ministries under the General Delegation upon request, and recruiting doctors and engineers within the Prison Administration staff, which will unify the legal system governing all staff and employees of the prison sector.
- Rationalizing administrative career management and developing procedures for recruitment, training, regularization, and discipline, aligning them with the nature of the special professional commitments of this body, which operates under a semi-military system.
## Importance of the New System
This basic system is introduced in parallel with new challenges and legislative dynamics in our country, especially after the issuance of the new law organizing prisons No. 10.23 and the law on alternative penalties No. 43.22. This system requires comprehensive mobilization of sector employees and serious and determined commitment to the application of the law to enhance the security and reintegration role of prison institutions and implement various relevant government programs under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist and protect him.
